I Too Will Praise Him
Worship at St. Stephen’s celebrates the presence of our Risen Lord Jesus Christ through music, teaching, prayer, and sharing in the sacramental meal of Holy Communion. The word of God is proclaimed with passion and conviction. Sermons draw upon scripture and ordinary life experiences to empower our lives for service in the world. Worship times and formats are diverse and are enriched by leadership and participation of the very young and old growing together as the family of God seeking a deeper relationship with our Lord and with one another.
Three Sunday morning services are led by our Rector, Reverend Pati Mary Andrews. The 8:00 service is a quiet and intimate worship without music, that follows the liturgy of Holy Eucharist Rite II. At 9:00 a more family-oriented worship gathering follows the liturgy of Holy Eucharist Rite II, and integrates praise music and children’s sermons as part of a traditional style of worship. The 11:00 service most closely follows the traditional worship format most Episcopalians have grown up with, in a service of Holy Eucharist Rite II. Try any or all of our services; we hope you will find a comfortable place to worship with us.
